The Palisades project, located just minutes from the Palisades Tahoe Ski Resort, was designed to reflect the tranquility of its surroundings while incorporating clean, modern elements. We focused on creating a space that feels inviting, blending natural textures, soft tones, and custom details that enhance both aesthetics and functionality. The game room was redesigned with a natural and muted palette, highlighted by bright wood finishes and select pops of color in the furniture and decor. To maximize the stunning mountain views, we expanded the daybeds by the window, making them a perfect place to lounge or sleep. Custom woodwork was introduced for the daybed modules, TV stand, and a practical towel and shoe rack. A brighter, more open feel was achieved through the use of lighter, neutral tones, allowing the space to feel fresh and welcoming. For the bathrooms and bedrooms, we maintained a focus on warmth and simplicity. Neutral-toned ceramics add subtle texture, while neolith slabs create a seamless transition from the floor to the bathtub. Brushed brass hardware brings a sophisticated contrast, and a custom concrete sink enhances the tactile, organic feel of the space. In the bedrooms, a soft, neutral palette inspired by the surrounding landscape is complemented by occasional pops of color in the decor. Designed for comfort and relaxation, these rooms provide a peaceful retreat after a day in the mountains.
