Andrea Bertocco
Founder & Lead Designer
"I’m the lead designer and founder of studiodre. My design journey began in Brazil, where I earned a degree in Architecture and co-founded a design firm called Loft with a close friend. We worked together for several years before I decided to seek new challenges and moved to the United States, specifically the San Francisco Bay Area. There, I pursued further studies in interior architecture and design at UC Berkeley, followed by an MFA in Design at CCA, where I refined my design skills. After years working in the corporate world with commercial clients, I shifted my focus to residential design, embracing a more personal and intimate approach. My passion lies in helping clients bring their personalities into the spaces they live in, crafting designs that reflect their unique lifestyles. Every project has its own set of challenges, and I find great joy in seeing an idea evolve from concept to reality. Outside of work, I’m an animal lover, mostly vegan, and a certified yoga instructor. I spend my free time hiking around Tahoe, practicing yoga, or traveling. I’m also certified by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and hold a LEED AP accreditation, emphasizing my commitment to sustainable design."
"I’m a Brazilian architect, recently graduated and currently working as a designer at studiodre. Right now, I’m fully immersed in the world of interior design, contributing my creativity to various projects at the firm. Inspired by the rich cultural environment and diverse aesthetics of Brazil, I strive to bring a fresh perspective to every project I work on. I have a strong attention to detail and a passion for blending aesthetics with functionality, always aiming to create spaces that are both visually captivating and highly practical. I also have a deep love for landscape design and am passionate about the connection between design and nature. I believe that our built environments should complement and harmonize with the natural world around them. My goal is to design spaces that seamlessly integrate with their surroundings, fostering a sense of tranquility and connection. I aim to create environments that not only enhance the quality of life for those who use them but also reflect an appreciation for the balance between architecture and nature."
